Her father of that name had died in an automobile accident when Jocelyn was eight years old. It seemed like a very long shot, but accompanied by Michael Ironbear, who had befriended her, Jocelyn made her way to Standing Bow Ranch and ascertained that James Morgan was indeed her father. She lived in La Canada, a suburb of Los Angeles, with her mother and her younger brother, and had recently graduated from high school. An experienced equestrienne, she was jumping her horse over a low fence when it suddenly stumbled, fell, and rolled over her.

Jocelyn soon touched the lives of many IS agents. She dutifully went to the JMC for a medical checkup. She visited the Wizard’s Inn and Shadow’s End. She sang during jam sessions at the Second Chance. She helped T’larra carry some luggage, and went cruising with Deanna and bar-hopping with Hell Tanner.
