Over the years, [[Chicago:Characters:SLY|Sly]] has established several dozen Glass Houses across the USA (the first one, naturally, in Pittsburgh) and in a number of other countries. In their simplest form they provide food, shelter, protection, and counseling for less-fortunate people. The larger Houses offer a complete range of medical services, education/training, job placement, and financial assistance.

Glass Houses were established mainly to assist women and girls, but no one is ever turned away. However, those who are violent, abusive, and so on are recognized quickly and dealt with efficiently.

Sly seldom gets directly involved with the Glass Houses any more, except sometimes to set one up in a new country (the sort one might have to shoot one's way into or out of). Sly's hand-picked administrators are headquartered in Pittsburgh. The Glass House Trust Fund is managed by [[Chicago:Characters:Jason Rathbone|Jason Rathbone]], and provides seed money and initial operating expenses for new Houses.

With the establishment of Team Infinity and the Infinite Solutions Foundation, Sly has begun setting up Glass Houses in the so-called "Supers World". She has imported several of her experienced people from the base world to carry forward in this effort.
