==BACK STORY and BEGINNING of the ADVENTURE==

Enigma told Kev McGwire he was limited to a group of four, so he picked a shield (Steve Williams), a great big elf (Thaemon), and a minesweeper (Richard Cheshire).

The tale goes something like this: After Paul Harrison was brought to Enigma's attention, Enigma somehow determined that Paul and seven other Infinite Solutions recruits were missing from the IS database. Not only that, Enigma himself didn't remember recruiting them. One of Enigma's spotters has reported a world which may hold clues to the missing IS agents. The society is medieval. Tech, mana, psi, and meta function to varying degrees, but sometimes not at all.

The party, with horses and a wagon, set down near a road leading to the Free City of Sarbrine. As they rode into town, Richard made sure his amulet was in plain sight. In the mouth of an alley, a young man's eyes grew wide, and he turned and fled. The group chased the man down the alley, where Kev nabbed him with TK. The young man, Davon, has been quite reticent, but little by little a couple of interesting lines of information have come out. Davon claims that the white amulet is the symbol of the "Cult of Primus", and that whoever wears such an amulet is cursed. A thousand years ago the Cult of Primus almost destroyed the world, and the gods themselves were forced to intervene. Much more recently, approximately seven years ago, fifteen people wearing white amulets were captured and imprisoned.

Much of the questioning of Davon took place in a local tavern. Many of the patrons have slipped out, leaving the place largely empty (and the tavern keeper grousing because of his loss of custom).

A thousand year old cult, which is known to wear the White Amulet. This cult (or rather anyone who wears the white amulet) is said to be cursed.

The story which is told is that 1 thousand years ago the Cult of Primus almost destroyed the world, and the gods themselves were forced to intervene.

Also 7 years ago 15 people wearing white amulets were captured and imprisoned.

Leader of the local Cell of the Cult of Primus. He has more of the real story.

Sarbrine is a city situated at the Fork where two rivers meet. It is ruled by a council of merchants. They have maintained their freedom so far by playing the various kingdoms off against one another.

An officer in the City's Guard. Usually work much like a modern free lance detective. He is also a double agent working for the Kingdom of Zarbos
