Corrial Gilberts AKA Cori AKA Cori the Brave AKA thinks he knows better than you. Is a recent and somewhat unconvinced (though definitly interested) addition to the group. He hails from a valley known as Vellon in the NE cornner of the Troubled Lands near Gateway, that in the time before the fall was known as one of the prime sources for enchanted items, alchemical goods, and mages of a certain rare quality. Mages born is Vellon often manfest a unique sensitivity to the flow of mana in the world around them and Cori was no exception to this. Cori's magical abilites manifested when he was quite young and lent him a certain knack for both thaumatalogical and alchemical study. Since the fall Vellon had cut off most contact with the outside world and turned inward to its own needs for survival. Over time this lead to stagnation of the magical arts and violent magical competitions for places of honor in the Mages Guild. Over the last few years more and more promising young mages died in ritual combat trying to enter the guild. Cori however was not one of these and he earned himself a place in the Guild as the youngest apprentice ever to do so. Still Cori would long to see his people abandon the Games as the measure of what a mage is worth and has recieved permision from the guild to reestablish the old trade route that lead from Vellon to Alpina. Cori is young and rash but knows that manners and politeness will get you a long way. He has two posessions of note, His Mage Fists which he was awarded for his spectacular victory in the arena and [[Sapphire:Characters:Elios|Elios]] his highly trained pet goshawk who dotes over him constantly. He pays cusotomary observance to Cor, Zeph, and Da/Dara but could not seem less comfortable than when at religious services. His main motivation in staying with the party seems to be in the draw of studying the many rare magical items they come across. It has also set him up to expand the power an presence of his guild.

Home Land: Vellon, a secluded valley in the NE part of the troubled lands.
