ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
- Enigma - Director of Infinite Solutions. Enigma has one receptionist/administrative assistant, but otherwise has no managerial structure below him.
- Agents
- Field Agents - These are the people who may be asked to do anything, anywhere, any when. While they are asked to perform many different functions, they are usually assigned the task of correction or prevention. However, they may be assigned observer, scout, set-up, courier, and/or training tasks as needed. Depending upon the exact mission’s circumstances these agents may operate with information that ranges from nothing to very detailed. Field Agents reside on a Rest and Recreation world (R&R) where an Infinite Solutions headquarters area exists. On a HQ R&R world agents are usually recruited for missions by an agent who has been assigned a specific task by Enigma. Most missions require the use of a standard team, composed either of one recruiter and from two to seven other agents whom the recruiter convinces to participate, or of a group of agents hand-picked by Enigma.
- Nomadic Agents - These teams are made up of from four to eight agents who, unlike Field Agents, have no "base world." They may be sent directly from one mission to the next, or they may be given time off between missions in an R&R facility.
- On-Site Agents - On-Site Agents are hired on a particular world and continue to live there. They are expected to pay attention to unusual events and take action as necessary. Although they are given a means to contact Enigma, these Agents are generally on their own; aid is usually limited to the pickup and removal off-world of dangerous items (and even people) that cannot be safely disposed of otherwise. An example of a team of On-Site Agents is the Dallas group.
- Scouts - Enigma will occasionally send a Scout to a place from which he requires more information. A Scout usually works alone. Scouts' activites are primarily involved with infiltration and data gathering; they may do some prep work in advance of a team of Agents, but are almost always off-planet well before the team arrives. The two Scouts whose names are most familiar to other Agents are Theodore Rose and Tonya Sliver.
- Observers - Stationed on what Enigma considers key worlds, Observers carry on with their lives like all the other beings among whom they live. They are constantly alert to what is going on in their world. When anything that might be of interest to IS occurs, an Observer is expected to investigate the event or phenomenon, report any findings to Enigma, and recommend a course of action. Observers do not generally take action themselves, but may assist IS agents sent to their world with such things as lodging, contacts, and information gathering.
- Known Observers:
- Alan Daniels - Isadore
- Support Staff
- Agent Services - Agent services appear to fall into the following categories;
- Custodial (Services at the Hotel, on Center etc.)
- Financial (The Infinite Solutions Credit Card)
- Mission Support (Mission equipment when issued)
- Way Stations - Most dimensional travel can be accomplished by gate transfers until the final destination is reached. However, the physical laws of some Dimensional Clusters do not allow this. In those cases some sort of physical travel may be required. Way Stations are maintained by Agents as places where the IS Dimensional traveler may rest before setting out on the next leg of their journey.
- Agent Training - The vast majority of an agent’s training is left up to the individual agent. However Infinite Solutions provides the following to aid in agent training;
- The training simulators
- Formal training on Center (Earth ENR 788880110-9-0100000)
- Infinite Solutions staff provides and updates a base set of training programs for the simulators. This staff also provides personalized and class training in certain areas as mandated by E. Nigma.
- Miracle Technologies - These are the folks that make and maintain a lot of the equipment used by Infinite Solutions (such as. 'black holes', the Amulet, etc).
- Agent Services - Agent services appear to fall into the following categories;
