June 5, 2014 – Journey Book Entry to Aliana

Aliana, I hope you are well. I would like to apologize. Not for look at you, but for misunderstanding the nature of one of your secrets. The reason I had never looked at you with my gift is that I had seen your face and aura and assumed that the rest of you was as beautiful as your face. I guess I thought you covered yourself because you didn’t want to be recognized or remembered, and people will remember your face.

The reason I decided to investigate as something that the guardian said. He said you (and I) did not fit the pattern. I know what he meant about me (I think), but I was concerned about you. I could not figure out what the guardian meant about you. All I have to go on is what you have told me, and you said there was nothing special about you, except you have exceptionally combat skills, even though your skills seemed to be geared to an assassin and your stealth skills are those of a master thief, but there is nothing special about you. I asked you if you were an elf and you said no you were human. So, maybe you are not aware of what the guardian is talking about when he said you don’t fit the pattern.

I am not sure what I expected to find, but I was going to look at you on outside and the inside. I wanted to know if you were alright. When I told you what I was about to do, I was informing you, and not asking permission, but I did want to discuss what I would have seen. What I did see was disturbing and explained some of your attitude.

A professional in giving pain did the work done on your back. My guess the work was either done by or commissioned by a person in a royal family. I think I understand your problems with royals (scum) as you call them, but maybe I don’t. I don’t know if you were a slave, a commoner, or a minor member of a royal family, and I don’t care which category if any that you fall into. I judge you by what I experienced with you. I don’t judge people by titles (I have more than one). Your problems with royals are not my problem. You have more than enough reasons to be anger with me (this case in point) without blame me for other royals acting badly.

I would like you to return us. We need you. We had chance to get a ship (I not sure what we would do with a ship). I will keep my gift to myself, but I would like to know more about you. I know you are angry about something. I know you have a mission or purpose, and I would like to help you with your mission because I am your friend.

Yours truly,

Chalker (King of Jacksonville)
