Dallas:Timeline - Current Situation
Overall Situation
November 17, 2007
In mid-October 2007, Kef received a handwritten letter, forwarded from Paula, from Philip Deveraux, with whom Kef had been acquainted from the renfair circuit. In the letter he informs Kef that he will be in Dallas near the end of October, and invites her to attend a performance of a magician called Lazarus.
At the moment when the timeline was repaired (10/23/2007), Kef was in Corvallis, Oregon. Upon hearing that Steve lay in a coma, she put her RV in storage and flew back to Dallas.
Paula performed Healing spells on Steve but he remained in Coma. Once it is determned that he is physically sound the group places him in a long-term care facility removed from the main venues.
As of 11/17/2007, despite her efforts Steve's condition remains unchanged, but Kef intends to persist until he is healed. She has rented a small apartment in Terrell in order to be close to the long-term care facility.
The rest of the group tries to settle back into the routine. However this is made difficult by Steve's condition and the Fact that the Twins are aging at a rate 5 times faster than normal. On 11/17 the Twins are chronologically 156 days old (.43 yr) but physically are 780 days old (2.14 yr).
There is a lot of discussion about what to do about this situation and the Da Vinci Prophecy in general.
Resumption
Below is how I propose to restart the Dallas Campaign. I'm proposing a forward leap for the restart to reset the level/plots of the campaign. Please Review and let me know your thoughts on this.
Proposed Resumptions assumptions:
- January 2, 2008 - Paula Baker and the Twins were transported off dimension by ENigma.
- February 28, 2008 - Igor Darvich and Stan Wilhelm Depart Dimension under own power - Probably.
- From 2002 - 2007 the rate of 'Unusual' occurrences had been increasing at a extreme rate. In January 2008 that changed.
- There was a reality shift - the way things worked changed just a bit (See Note 1 & 2) but all Characters that owned a IS Amulet remember the before.
- Weird events did not go away but the intensity and frequency decreased dramatically.
- Some Areas show up as HOT Spots. One such example is Cleveland Ohio, U.S.A..
- The PCs situations will have advanced in the 5 year gap based on previous decisions and decisions made in the 5 year gap.
- The IS Pay will continue to be delivered during the 5 year gap.
- Everyone will determine what their PC did during the Gap and I'll work with you to determine what that means in terms of the world at large.
- Based on what everyone decides I'll assess the impact on the Overall interactions with NPC/NPC groups.
- The status of the following infrastructure will depend on the decisions of the PCs and how they interact;
- Set-up Mechanics for Resumption (See Note 3).
- January 2, 2013 - The Group is pulled into a new situation.
Note 1: - Meta-game this means that we'll convert all PCs fully to 4e if that has not already been done. No set point total for this but a conversion. The way some powers work changes a little from 3e to 4e, hence the reality shift.
Note 2: - All PCs please take Longevity [2 pts] (by-product of reality shift) and The appropriate level of Wealth to go with where that ends up for them.

Paula retired from Infinite Solutions about 23 years ago (1984). She brought in the $2,000,000.00 to live off of and her interest and living expenses tend to balance out. The spoils from missions have increased her nest egg to $3,000,000.00.
The addition in Mid-June 2007 of the children of the 'Da Vinci Prophecy' has affected her spending patterns but she has adjusted investments to provide the extra money needed to raise them.
After the TimeLine was restored on 10/23/2007 she:
- Used the healing spell on Steve McAllen, but he still did not wake up
- She discussed with the rest of the team how they should handle the twins
With as much input as she could get Paula made a decision on 11/17/2005 to request Pickup and transport of herself and the Twins out dimension.

Major events in 2008
Sold house (really a house farm) in Las Vegas for $3 million dollars. The FBI approaches Blake about working together.
Major events in 2009
Blake is by nature a conservative investor, so his money is bonds (treasury, corporate and municipal) and in stocks that pay dividends. He also invested in (REITs - Real Estate Investment Trust). Since 75% of his money is in bonds, Blake's stock holdings took a small hit, but are predicted to come back soon, but the REITs to a major hit and will take longer to recover.
Because of his uncomfortably close relationship with the Atlanta FBI agents, in late 2009 Blake agrees to work with the FBI in a limited capacity.
Major events in 2010
In 2010, Blake agrees to act as the FBI's private X-File group. The FBI pays very well (which is one of the reasons Blake agrees to the arrangement). Blake opens two new offices in New York City, and Washington, D.C. He considers closing the Cleveland office, but too much weird crap still happens in Cleveland.
Major events in 2011
In 2011, the FBI approached Blake with a request from MI5 (their counter-part in Britan) to hire Solution Security in London to act as their X-Files group in England. The money offered was too good, so Blake agreed. With contacts in the FBI and MI5, Security Solution has wide access to information not available to the public.
Blake leased the warehouses in Los Angles, San Franciso, and San Deigo. The health club was lease to a private group that operates health clubs. Because real estate is so cheap, Blake leases a building in Las Vegas that is Secuity Solutions hot site.

From 2008 through 2012, Solution Security has a very steady work load. Most cases have no super-natural elements, but about four cases a year Blake has had to call upon his friends to help him with cases that have super-natural or demonic causes.
