Sevren Smith is a 22 year old male with dark eyes, dark hair, and light skin. He is 5’5’’ 125 pound with an acrobats build. He has two distinctive wings tattooed on his back and loves to pull pranks on people. He likes origami but only knows how to make bird and flowers. When he pulls a heist or a major prank he always leaves behind a small black origami crane somewhere at the scene. He also views any organization to which he belongs as a family and will protect them as much as his skills allow.

Sevren was born in a poor ghetto of a world that most people have forgotten ever existed. Knowing that she would never be able to take care of here son his mother left him with the Ringmaster of a strange visiting Circus. Taking him as one of their own Sevren as he was dubbed was raised by a dwarven acrobat named Terry LongHair who had been unable to have children of her own. Severn’s two best friends growing up were Derk (a humongous half-orc) and Sarish Overhead who were both about two years younger than him. When he was little Sevren worked with the Acrobats and as a Magicians Assistant where he became adept at slight of hand, picking locks, tying ropes and various escape techniques. When turned twelve and it was time for him to pick a apprenticeship under one of the older performers Severn shocked everyone by choosing to apprentice as an Aerial Acrobat under the elderly Vespar “The Falcon” Overhead and soon urned the nickname “The Crane’ because of the way he seemed to float on the air. Sevren’s excellent balance and natural jumping abilities caused him to excel quickly to the rank of Journeyman Aerialist at only age 14. He was further delighted when his best friend Sarish began to apprentice with her father. The “The Flock” as they soon became known were the star attraction at the circus. Every night men, women, elves, and cat people would fill the tent to see the amazing young aerialist who seemed unaware that gravity had any effect on him. It seems, however, that everything could not remain perfect forever and at one of the circuses stops a dark handsome man appeared and asked to join the group he was a trapeze artist by trade and was looking for a place to hone his skills. The Ringmaster and Vespar thought that there was room in the troop for one more and so Krish “The Crow” Punjahbi joined the “The Flock”. At first everything was fine and everyone got along well, but when Vespar announced his retirement Krish began to change. Originally Severn had assumed he would take over when Vespar retired but he know that with three Journeyman to chose from the title of Master Aerialist would be something Sevren Smith would have to work for. Over the next few months Krish became more standoffish and rude to Sevren and Sarish. When the time came to pick the new Master everyone was anxiously awaiting Vespar at the main tent, he never showed up. When Sarish was sent to get him she did not return either. After a few minutes Sevren, Derk, the Ringmaster and Krish went to his tent. There they found Vespar dead and Sarish in tears. In Vespar’s hand was a torn piece of Sevren’s costume. Krish accused Sevren of the murder and all the circumstantial evidence supported this accusation. Unfortunately Krish manager to convince almost everyone that Sevren was guilty and there only mind reader was unable to substantiate what had actually happened. The Ringmaster though not convinced had no choice but to kick Sevren out of the Circus. Abandoned on a planet that he knew nothing about young Sevren used the only skills that he had to get by, he became a thief.

Sevren found he had a natural skill for getting people to give him what he wanted, most of time without them even knowing it, but picking pockets and street corner magic lacked excitement and Sevren was ill at ease with stealing from people he knew nothing about. So this young man of twenty began a career as a second story man. In this arena he could pick his targets with care and no one was around scale the roof tops and fill his back pack with what ever he needed. Soon the police and local crime syndicate (the Night Stalkers) were aware of the impossible robberies taking place in the local community where the assailant seemed to fly in under the cover of night and fly off with whatever they wanted. Luckily for Sevren the criminals caught him first. He was hauled in by one of their goons and far from being in trouble he was actually offered a job. With the backing of the Night Stalkers Sevren was able to make the move from fledgling thief to confident cat burglar. His new “Family” also gave him some customized gear that made his job a lot easier. Freddy “The Builder” Lowenstein a first rate techno-wiz and gadgeteer built his whips, mask and also figured out a way to make his night suit more lightweight. Once he became a thief for higher Sevren Smith “The Black Crane” only had pull private jobs for the highest bidder. On one such job after pulling a heist on the 38th floor of a skyscraper he planned to parachute to safety. His chute did not open however and the next thing he new he was being recruited by a Mr. E. Nigma.
