11/28/94 (Monday) -- Jason Rathbone starts recruiting for a mission to depart at noon Saturday, December 3. They are to locate a man named Jason van Doobie, then get both him and a certain item to a safe place.

Mission team pops out into a very dark place, which they soon determine is a large warehouse. Jessica recognizes an old friend: Linda.

Jessica and Aaron discover the greep.

I believe that we were investigating Van Doobie's listed residence. The Greeps were on the back porch, and were procured by Jessica and Aaron.

Also I believe that we investigated the college where Van Doobie was a professor. And dazed his department head to gain access to his computer and all of Van Doobie's files on the college net. We left out the back way when the local police arrived. We did not know how they were summoned.

Aaron and Jessica are kidnapped by an unidentified group (possibly a branch of the Colonial patrol). They are blindfolded, interrogated, injected with a drug, stripped, and thrown in a bare concrete pit.

[Jeff adds:]

In addition to being kidnapped, interrogated, drugged, and stripped, Aaron and Jessica also had a bug implanted 'up their butt' if I remember correctly.

Aaron also tries an uncommon tactic during his interrogation. When asked where he got the 'odd' blaster he was carrying, he told the truth. "I got it from a giant frog with lots of sharp teeth.

Rathbone's persistence at last pays off; he makes contact with the people who are hiding Jason van Doobie. The professor has come up with a formula for an anti-aging drug, and had been planning to publish it in a scientific journal. Then his house was raided by the Colonials, and he went into hiding. The Colonial Authority, it comes out, currently has a monopoly on such drugs.

Jeremy suggests, and the rest of the group quickly agrees, that van Doobie's article should be distributed as widely as possible. Jeremy uploads it to the local datanet.
