Jeremiah Trust
Age 35 Ht 5' 10" Wt 150
A rather thin man with non-descript brown hair and brown eyes. He walks with a pronounced limp as his right leg was badly mangled in a training exercise just after boot camp. He used the compensation he received along with his medical discharge to go to the University of Texas and received a degree in pre-med. He continued on to Medical School at Johns Hopkins and got a job with a police force as a special medical investigator. He has developed an addiction to pain meds due to his injured leg and uses his medical and pharmaceutical abilities to obtain these meds on an ongoing basis.
He has excelled in his field due to an uncanny ability to "know" things about crime scenes. He is not sure how or why it works or even if it *will* work. He only knows that when he gets that "feeling" it is invariably right.
The world he is from has been visited by aliens but they are discreet and very uncommon. He has an affinity however something on the line of an X-Files kind of operative.
He has never risen any higher in his field due to two factors. One, his face is an open book. If he doesn't like something or someone he has no idea how to not let on. This, you may well imagine, goes over quite poorly with beaurocratic superiors who he has little respect for. Secondly, his voice is unnerving. It is nasal and almost completely without inflection. Even when he gets riled up or is passionate about an issue there is little of that in his speech.
Jeremiah, (JT) to his co-workers and friends(?), met his end due to being a bit too good at his job. It seems the crimelords were finally tired of him solving those cases that everyone else had agreed were just going to have to remain a mystery. Threats and bribes didn't work so they took the opportunity and a report that he was getting back from an outside lab contained a bit more than just the information he was waiting for. There were no pieces of JT left to identify, and noone on the ME's staff concerned enough <read stupid enough> to buck the crimelords, to do much of a follow up.
A trip to a board room ensued where a collection of others who thought they had died or at least been injured very badly was gathered by one E Nigma. The rest is yet to be determined.
