Rebellion in Helm’s Deep
As the group leaves the shop on their way to Trask’s home, they notice that there are being followed by a human miner with middling magic potential and a halfling merchant. Noting this, the group continued into the depths of the mountain towards Trask’s Home.
As they near Trask’s home, the group stops and waits until the Miner passed by and stop him to speak and tell him that he was being followed by a halfling. Meanwhile, Nia quietly drops back and surprises the halfling by saying into his ear, that miner told us that you’re following us. After a brief chat with the halfling in thieve’s cant, Nia learns that the human is an agent of Gasket, one of 10 or so agents that have entered the city in the last 10 days.
The group spends several minutes speaking with the halfling
When they reach the gates of Trask Loadbreaker’s home, they find magical watchdog spells throughout the street heading up to the door.
Upon entering the front door into the courtyard, the find a sleeping dwarf guard with a giant battle axe. Intrinsius motions to Chalker to take the battle axe, which he does using his telekinesis. Nia then sneaks close to the guard and glues him to the ground.
The enter a crossways with two arched door ways on either side and two corridors slanting off in either direction at forty-five degree angles. Chalker decides to split the group in two. Chalker, Dain and Nia go down the corridor on the left, while Intrinsius, Kray and Tye go down the right.
Down the left corridor they can hear 3 or more voices in dwarves while the right corridor they can hear only 2 voices. After a brief discussion, the group splits.
Down the right corridor, Intrinsius casts Continual light on a mana stone in his pocket and begins to travel down the corridor as quietly as possible. 30 feet down the corridor there is a empty room on the right, since the voices are still ahead Intrinsius and company continue down the corridor. 30 feet farther down, there is a corridor that seems to go in the direction of the previous corridor on the left, however they continue on as the voices are still just ahead. Finally they come to a room on the left from which the voices are coming. Kray let’s Intrinsius know that it appears to be a mage and someone else discussing plans for an ambush of some sort. After asking Kray how to say “I can’t believe you didn’t tell me about the planning session” in dwarven, Intrinsius walks into the room and says it. The military dwarf inside the room says something in Dwarven, to which Intrinsius doesn’t respond and just walks up to the table and begins inspecting the plans. He then says, “This is all wrong, you need to start over” in common, to which the dwarf says “who are you?”. Responding in the Eastern language he knew as a mercenary, Intrinsius says “You know nothing about war” to which the Dwarf responds that he better know the password. Intrinsius punches to the right casting Flame Jet which flies out of his fist and hits the mage 2 yards to his right. At this Tye and Kray enter the room. Tye casts a lighting bolt at the mage who dodges away towards Intrinsius, while Kray attacks the dwarven soldier who parries. As that happens, Intrinsius smoothly quick draws both of his swords, the flaming Katana biting deeply into the mage putting him down instantly, while his longsword is blocked by the soldier. Upon seeing the mage falling, the soldier immediately surrenders.
On the left corridor, Chalker, Nia and Dain begin to walk stealthily down the corridor. At the door, Chalker asks Nia to cast glue in front of the door. After this, Chalker grabs an ax with his telekinesis and uses it to attack the leg of one of the guards inside the room. This results in the 6 or so people inside the room coming running out. The first soldier bursts right through the glue. [missed]
Nia casts a spell that causes the bandolier that holds the throwing axes of the dwarf she is facing to unfasten. This results in the bandolier falling down between his legs and tripping him up, sticking him at last in the glue.
Chalker draws dink-dink to face down one of the dwarves. […], the dwarf’s head is nearly severed from its body.[…]
